Tactical Twitter

Social media scholar Bonnie Stewart has applied the term “tactical” to the use of Twitter to advance activist ends. Includes what has traditionally been called “shaming” but also the “signal-boosting” of Ferguson and the organization of the Occupy movement. (post) (post)
